Introduction
LAxLimit is an advanced look ahead, wideband linked-stereo limiter including ISP (inter sample peak) detection and oversampling.
LAxLimit offers more control over transients and adaptive release curves. It adds now extended metering (RMS, EBU and Dialog gated).
The goal of the design was to cover a broad range of limiting applications in today's mixing and mastering situations with strong focus on low aliasing.
Overview
Generally:
The core of LA xLimit V are two brick-wall/look-ahead limiters that can be controlled either in conjunction or completely independently. Furthermore, a wave-shaper can be switched either before or after.
Brick-wall/look-ahead limiter:
The operation of the limiter is primarily controlled by the drive, tone, attack and release controls.
Enhancer:
Another innovation in LA xLimit V - in addition to the second independent limiter stage - is the Enhance function. It can be switched either before or after the limiter.
The Enhance function increases volume without increasing peak level using custom soft clipping algorithms based on adaptive compression.
Design
LAxLimit is specifically designed for mastering, digital editing, multimedia, and any application that requires limiting of the digital signal with top notch quality and lowest aliasing. LAxLimit guarantees ultra fast and overshot free response by using advanced look ahead algorithms.
In order to fulfill today's TV, broadcast and music production requirements LAxLimit offers True-Peak limiting (ISP) based on ITU-1770 specification and on top of it up to 64x oversampling. Combined with True-Peak limiting reaches even highest production standards.
LAxLimit includes an advanced adaptive release control system which reduces massively artifacts caused by fixed release times. In order to increase limiting sensitivity both stereo channels can be freely linked/unlinked.
LAxLimit is designed to be used as last plugin in the processing chain (brick-wall limiting).

- Plugin menu: the plugin menu provides access to more plugin information, the manual, tool-tips control and more plugin options.
- Preset menu: the preset menu provides access to default, factory and user presets.
- Oversampling: sets oversampling up to x64.
- Enhancer: reach loudness levels beyond normal limiting with highest possible clarity.
- Dual limiter engine: selects either single or dual-mono limiter mode.
- Monitoring: flexible monitoring like left/right/mid/side channel from input/side-chain/output signal.
- Loudness information: this section shows loudness information (RMS/EBU/DIAL) of the limiting process.
- GUI scale: click and drag with the mouse to scale the GUI. For quick scaling, double-click.

Important notes:
Before downloading and installing please check the system requirements!
Demo version versus Registered version:
In demo mode (without registering) the plugin mutes audio every 90 seconds for a short period. This could be circumvented by clicking on the "TBProAudio" logo within 90 seconds.
Activation:
After installation product is in demo mode and needs to be activated. Please follow the steps described in the manual or here.
