LAxLimit is an advanced look ahead, wideband linked-stereo limiter including ISP (inter sample peak) detection and oversampling.
As the successor to our widely popular LA xLimit IV, LA xLimit V offers enhanced control over transients and adaptive release curves.
Designed for today’s mixing and mastering demands, it delivers exceptional versatility across a broad range of limiting applications, with a strong focus on minimizing aliasing.

Generally
LA xLimit V is specifically engineered for mastering, digital editing, multimedia, and any audio application demanding top-tier limiting with exceptionally low aliasing.
Precision Compliance & Loudness Standards
To satisfy today's stringent broadcast, TV, and streaming requirements, LA xLimit V features True-Peak limiting (ISP) compliant with the ITU BS.1770-4 specification, alongside up to 64x oversampling.
Architecture
At the core of LA xLimit V are two independent brickwall/look-ahead limiters that can operate either in serial or parallel mode.
Brick-wall/look-ahead limiter
The operation of the limiter is primarily controlled by the drive, tone, attack and release controls.
Adaptive Attack
Automatically adjusts ratio of clipper/limiter levels based on internal transient detection. It minimizes typical side effects of brute force clipping such as unwanted distortion or crackling.
Adaptive Release
Adaptive Release recalculates the release curve for each sample. This minimizes typical aliasing during the limiting process.
Enhancer
Utilizing custom soft-clipping algorithms driven by adaptive compression, it intelligently boosts perceived volume and density without increasing peak levels. The Enhancer can be placed either before or after the limiter stage.
Dithering and noise shaping
The Dither module support various bit depths and noise profiles.

- Plugin menu: the plugin menu provides access to more plugin information, the manual, tool-tips control and more plugin options.
- Preset menu: the preset menu provides access to default, factory and user presets.
- Oversampling: sets oversampling up to x64.
- Dual limiter engine: selects either single or dual-mono limiter mode.
- Enhancer: reach loudness levels beyond normal limiting with highest possible clarity.
- Monitoring: flexible monitoring like left/right/mid/side channel from input/side-chain/output signal.
- Loudness information: this section shows loudness information (RMS/EBU/DIAL) of the limiting process.

Important notes:
Before downloading and installing please check the system requirements!
Demo version versus Registered version:
In demo mode (without registering) the plugin mutes audio every 90 seconds for a short period. This could be circumvented by clicking on the "TBProAudio" logo within 90 seconds.
Activation:
After installation product is in demo mode and needs to be activated. Please follow the steps described in the manual or here.
